WOW! It has been quite some time since last I blogged here with you. I must say I am so sorry, but we had such a good reasons. Well, firstly, we had the end of school and all that goes with that.... field days, class picnics, etc. Then we "went down the shore", as I realize any people from New Jersey say, ( I am a native New Yorker, just here 5 years so I guess it is OK to forget the "to" . Celebrated my birthday and Our 15Th wedding anniversary in Atlantic City, just me and my guy :). Finally, we hosted an amazing guest. She was such a pleasure to have here, She was such a good guest, not eating much, not making noise, just pleasant, and....let me think, I am looking for the right word to describe her..... Helpful, Yes helpful!I bet you are wondering who it was that came to visit me and my family this past month. The suspense must be tearing at you by now........ BETTY Was HERE!!! YES Flat , tater country), and We had a blast. While I have been feverishly working my fingers to the bone here at my sewing machine, My house guest just hung around, made a few friends, and helped me where ever I needed her.She had decided to come over, and spend some time with us, over the 4th of July WEEKEND but she had some trouble finding us and just didn't make it in time to join us on our trip to PA Dutch Country, but once we returned, she was here siting on my front porch ready to have a blast, and make new friends.

Betty, also told me about this wonderful charity she works for, They collect new Pj's and sweet story books for children in need, and explained this all to my girls and made them realize that they are so so lucky to have nice clean pj's to sleep in every night, as well as a wealth of knowledge in all the books we have here in our home library. SO, after thinking about it, My girls decided they wanted to share their wealth, and send Betty home with a few books to share with those people she has been working with to collect these books and pj's. Christina and Rebecca hope the children that receive our books enjoy them. The girls picked them out themselves, and actually wished they could send more, but Betty's bag was full and she had way too much to carry!Betty also asked that we take a few pictures of her while she was here so she could make Megan jealous! You see, I don't know if you all know this but I am a handbag designer. I am the designer and owner of the hip and cool website, Bella Boutique Creations, Where it's all about the bags! I create beautiful bags for ladies of all ages, in all shapes colors and sizes. NOW, what girl doesn't love a new bag............ And to actually learn to make a bag, now that is just like being a kid in a candy store!Not only did Betty help me pick up cuttings from the floor, hang around , the sewing studio and watch intently my every cut and snip ( I'd swear that she wants to make bags too the way she watched and took notes,) She actually was able to make herself a new bag. Granted, its not as good as my bags, but I have to admit, for a beginner, she did an awesome job! It was the perfect size for her to put her sunglasses, sunscreen , and her cellphone in, and still have room for a few more girl essentials.She even made a mermaid friend! You see, My Rebecca is a fanatic about Mermaids, and we were working on a bag for her very good friend that has not been well this Summer, and Betty just had to "throw herself into her work" and be the good guest and keep our sweet Euro Mermaid company while I cut and stitched up this bag!Unfortunately, all good things do come to an end, and Betty had to bid her farewells, BUT, I think as you can see, She had a wonderful stay here with us in New Jersey. She made new friends, She helped me reinforce how important it is to help our neighbors, even when we do not know who they are, picked up a few books for some really deserving kids, AND Girlfriend got a bag out of the deal for herself too!After she left, It occured to me that MAYBE I should have sent a little bag to Megan too. I really didn't want her to be jealous and If I know Betty, I bet she was flaunting that cool bag and still is! Though we all thanked her for her visit, I'd like to again Thank Betty and Megan for letting Betty come over and hang with us these past few days, and let them know that She is welcomed here any time!Thanks Betty and Megan!

Ok, as I sit here, I have a million calls to make , things to do and stores to visit. This Sunday is my Daughter's First Communion, and I still have things to do ! Of course we are having a huge shindig, and I am left to do the last minute details, all before I have to run to work, get my site updated, work on orders, and just deal with the house stuff, OH and run the kids around town to softball, all while avoiding passing our towns' Firemen's Carnival that I know my girls are gonna HAUNT me about going to. I hate carnivals, I dont know but it doesnt seem natural for a dangerous ride that you hang upside down from, to be taken apart and put together again once a week. That is just my opinion. Needless to say, we always spend a small randsom on tickets zeppolis, and watery lemonade!

What I am asking for is a few little posts of encouragement, to keep me sane and give me a little chuckle or two so I do not go insane or bald before this Sunday. Oh and did I mention the forcast is predicting rain???? Gotta love the beautiful North East!

I Can't Believe How Time Goes by

Good morning, As I sit here drinking my morning cup of Java with my FAVORITE hazelnut coffeemate ( yes I cannot live without it!), I am just reliving a great time of my life.........High School. How I enjoyed high school, I was very popular, involved in everything there could be, on the softball team, Star of the drama and glee club, ( I am a classically trained singer), remembering how easy life was back then, the most I worried about was how many tests I had, or that paper that I needed to type ( There was no microsoft word, or if there was I didn't know about it, it was my panasonic electric typewritter), or what I was going to wear to the dance!

I am very excited about tomorrow, for it is my 25 high school reunion. What I worry about now, is what will I wear, who will entertain Rebecca, while her dad coaches Christina's softball team ( oh and I am missing opening day of softball here in Hillsdale), and should I take the minivan and look like a surburban soccer mom, or drive the car in to the city (I live in New Jersey, and grew up in NYC), and then I need to remember quarters for the parking meters or I'll get a ticket..............The list goes on and on!

Yes life was so much easier when we didn't know any better, when it was our parents job to do the worrying. Despite this, I am so excited, and plan on putting on the waterproof mascara, because there is definitely one thing that has not changed, I am just as mushy and emotional as I was back then, and I know that time will never change this!

Well, here goes another week! I keep saying I will update my sewing studio, but I just can't find the time. I need to dust and vaccum the rug, before someone gets stuck with a straight pin, I have to find someplace to store my bolts of Sandi Henderson Ginger Blossom Fabric (which by the way is just gorgeous, and I have it near me mostly because I love looking at it), and I have to decide if i want to give the room, an overhall.

So, I put the question to you ladies..... What do you think of my sewing studio? Do you think it needs the Martha Stewart Makeover, with robin egg blue walls, pretty jars to hold my bobbins and buttons?? Well I saw this awesome photo of a sewing studio, on a site that was featured in Country Living Magazine, and just knew that I needed to have Baby blue walls, and some more lighting! Tell me what you think? Is it a pig stye, or is it still ok looking, despite the fact that it is lacking that Martha WOW factor?

Thanks I can't wait for some suggestions!

WOW, I am not talking to myself anymore!

How cool was it for me to wake up today, get my cup of hot steamy coffee, and check on my blog, and find a few comments to my Wordless Wednesday post! I for sure thought I would be speaking to myself, or the monitor for a little while longer! Yes yes, I know what you are thinking, I did get a few comments from my friend Debye, but she doesn't count. Well, yes she does count, BUT She was not a random stranger! She knew about my blog, and has visited and posted a comment, but I actually got a complete stranger commenting!

Today is a busy day, more sewing, work and then Girl Scouts with Rebecca, (she is the little lady in the WW photo on the left, with the longer hair). She is in the 2nd grade, and just loves being a Brownie Girl Scout.

So, thank you to the sweet gal that gave me my first comment, and I hope to have many many more in the future!

How fast did today go! I had a ton of stuff to do and so little time to do it in. I did get to editing some of the photos of products for our new Etsy store, Ohsobabycouture! We are branching out from our bag line, and designing and creating posh and oh so chic baby accessories to make mommy and baby oh so Happy!

Ok, I have to admit, This blogging is kind of weird, I feel like I am constantly talking to myself but hey eventually someone will read this and post a comment. With a little help and advice from my friend Debye, I am slowly but surely getting my blog out there, and I cannot wait until my first comment.

It was back to school for my girls today, and I spent the entire day working on new designs for our new "OH so Baby Couture" catagory at Bella Boutique Creations. We have some fun and useful items for mommies. Fun burp cloths with vibrant colors to stimulate the senses of baby, oh and keep mommy clean too, new diaper bag designs, and a few other things, we want to keep under wraps until they are ready to make their debut!

Ok, I am off to get dinner ready. It is St. Paddy's Day and we are having................RAVIOLI!

I finally decided to do it! I have been a little afraid to do so, but I finally decided to shake it off, take a deep breath, and just jump in and go for it! Yes, yes, I know what you are thinking... OMG, What is she talking about??? What is she going to do?

Never fear, I finally got rid of the heebeegeebees, and decided to begin a BLOG, so here it goes!

Hello, My name is Suzanne and I am so happy to be able to share a little bit about my world to you. I am a happy WAHM of 2 wonderful little ladies, that make getting up in the morning, even on those days that I'd just love to pull the covers over my head, a pleasure, and the wife of an amazing partner and friend who truly and sincerely supports me in all I do. We live in a wonderful small town in Northern New Jersey, Hillsdale ( AKA STUCKYVILLE, for those of you that loved the NBC show Ed, Hillsdale was the locale for shooting the show for its run on the air).

I have to admit, I am as technologically challenged as they come, so for me to be blogging is a huge deal! I am sure I will learn more about blogging as the days go by, and I KNOW I will make mistakes, and probably sound like a dork but it is all in fun, Right??

Like I mentioned above, I am a WAHM. I am so proud of my online business, Bella Boutique Creations, Where it's all about the bag, and other sweet indulgences for ladies of all ages! At Bella Boutique Creations, I wear many hats. My favorite hat though, is the hat of Designer! I LOVE designing and creating new things for our site, (http:/www.bellaboutiquecreations.com).

We are working feverishly on our new Spring Line, which is ready to debut any day now, so come by and take a peek for yourself. We have many designs to suit every one's taste. We are SO SO excited about the new fabrics from Sandi Henderson, made by Michael Miller, Ginger Blossom! It is SO beautiful, it killed me to cut into those bolts of fabric, but if I want to share my love of it with you, I just had to cut into it and create these lovely things of beauty.

So, on this note I think it is time that I get myself down to my studio, and get to work. The day has just begun, the girls are at school, the coffee has finished brewing, and despite the cold outside, the birds are singing the songs of Spring, and better yet IT IS FRIDAY!!! I love the weekends! ( who doesn't!!)
